Speaking of which, I got around to reading Wired/Nov94 and they mention (p46) a guy pulled over by Texas troopers and busted for possession with intent to distribute for having the case to the Plastikman CD (with its attendant artwork) laying about (whilst playing it in the car I presume) and the troopers, being able to identify blotter LSD on sight, evidently saw it. Hawtin was quoted "I don't think anyone thought something like this could happen." I guess the quote was taken _before_ the Brits pulled it from customs with that cover design. The article said the poor chap currently awaits trial. Anybody know what the outcome of the case was? Brian? Did he get an apology from the Texas DA on accusing him of being a criminal, especially of such a heinous and socially unacceptable one - LSD pusher? How many potential employers are going to stick around to listen to the "but the charges were unfounded and dropped" after answering the "Have you ever been arrested for drug-related offense?" question. Oh, the benefits to society of a "war on drugs" and our "fair" justice system are so obvious..... Enough off-topic posting. Just musing about the world around me..... ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Michael King mike%delta1@rex.cs.tulane.edu Delta Systems New Orleans, LA 70002-4938 Voice: 504.837.9835 Fax: 504.837.9838 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ When I was a young programmer, we didn't have those sissy icons or windows.
