Hi I was trying to write a note to the IDM list but accidentally sent it
directly to that mr808 guy, so here's the gist of it:
I am the second woman you know of on here, and in response to what mr808 said
about women making music today, personally I used to and would love to again but
it is simply too much of a hassle with everything from having to be a music
major to be able to use the studio space to wanting to be able to support myself
when I come out of college at least $25,000 in debt (that is *not* an
exaggeration.) I plan on centering my life around music, as it has already been
for as long as I can remember, but until someone puts a cushy record deal into
my hand, I unfortunately have to be practical.
all this from someone who was going to be a voice performance major and
coloratura soprano a year ago. . .
