Hi- I have just purchased a 2.2 GHZ PC laptop from List member ethereon...Am now looking for some cool peripherals...first of all...the coolest mp3 player available...looking for something small with space age features hopefully...it would also be nice if it made me a chick magnet. Thanks in advance for your cooperation. Dave __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? The New Yahoo! Search - Faster. Easier. That would be either an Apple ipod, or a Creative Nomad Zen.... http://www.apple.com/ipod/ http://www.nomadworld.com/ Apple have just brought out a redesigned 30GB ipod, and Creative are about to release their new 60GB Zen. The Zen is cheaper, and holds more music, but the ipod is smaller and lighter. There was a discussion on Slashdot today comparing the two: http://slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=03/05/06/220224&mode=nested&tid=188&tid=141 I've got an ipod and it's my favourite toy at the moment by far. I've been fighting off women since I've had it too.... honest.... Richard David Dow wrote:

Personally, I'd go with an iPod. Not only can it hold your mp3's, but you can target it as a hard drive and use it for recording. One guy got 16 tracks of 24/96 using DAW software and an MIO interface. The absence of a fan would make these suckers great for remote recording. I'm thinking about getting one to travel with my MBox! They also come with a line-input and a menu function that let's you plug in a microphone and record straight onto the iPod! Right now, you're limited to six seconds of recording time, kinda useless...but if that's improved upon in the future, that'd make the iPod a great device for bootlegging shows... -paulp --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
