There's a review of it on Absorb: http://www.absorb.org/ So I think it's legit. The review on Absorb is very good (the review itself, and its opinion of the music.) g. On Thursday 18 April 2002 05:13 am, alan flood wrote:

After a couple listens to the new EP, I think its pretty damn good. I think people who weren't too thrilled with Confield will appreciate this one more. Its got the kind of nasty sound of Confield, but its somehow easier to grab onto this time around. There are even some chords and melodic phrases. I find the third track in particular to be particularly rocking. -Aaron n.p. Front Line Assembly - Epitaph anyone hear this? I hadn't listened to these guys since Tactical Neural Implant. Seems like they've done a decent job keeping it kinda fresh. There are actually a couple sly little IDM references on this album. One song totally has a Windowlicker beat on it and another uses some of the percussion sounds on the first track from Confield. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Gabriel J. I agree 100%, though I thought it to be quite different from the other two tracks and of course everything on confield. When I listened to it the first time I thought of the review in absorb where they mused as to whether or not Autechre was taking the piss or not with this ep. I wondered, if indeed they were taking the piss, if it was the 1st 2nd or 3rd track that was the piss take. Then I said fuck it, and listened to the ep again. Good stuff. -c --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

I've never really gotten into FLA because I usually own the albums they're ripping off. I'd rather listen to the originals. -- ------- eggytoast.com ------- proven to kill germs -- --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
