In addition to having a great moniker, Philip D Kick (aka Jim Cole/Om Unit)
has some great ideas. This is purported to be "footwork jungle" which is
cute, but just gives you two pigeonholes and he doesn't fit in either.
Which makes this release it's own odd thing:

From the acid squiggles of "In Formation" to the Detroit chord memory
samples that open Work this, this is bricolage of the first order, mashing
up 90s D&B, Footwork, and unabashadly ravey sounds into something catchy
and fun.
If you care about such things, the production on this release is
impeccable. Sometimes it takes an old head with decades behind the mixer
to really kill you with the sonic perfection. And "Drown" is a perfect
Bukem-esque roller complete with bong rips.
