OK, Firstly let me say that I am deeply sorry about what has happened yesterday. I watched in disbelief and horror as this stuff unfolded on TV. But the US has only it's self to blame. 1) I heard that 2/3rds of FBI and Secret Service attempts to get things through security at US airports succeeded. Don't you find that worrying? 2) Apparently, M$Donalds pay their staff MORE money that the security staff. No wonder they don't give a toss. Would you give a shit if you got treated like shit all day long? I heard that a lot of the US airlines run some of the airports, I would suggest that they are putting PROFIT way before passenger safety and generally the world's safety. Here in the UK and the rest of Europe we are (fairly) used to the fact that we are targets for terrorists for whatever stupid reasons make people want to plant bombs. We certainly are not used to destruction on this scale, but it's about time that the US woke up to the fact that if they continue to be the world's police then one day something like this was bound to happen. Given the two points above and the many warnings that had been given (I know warning are always given, but many different agencies had been told to watch out this week). So before you all flame my arse off, I condemn any terrorist activity, and pray for all those souls still in the rubble, but I still think that the US has been far to complacent and this will be one big walk up call. I do have to agree here however, most of us cant even balance a check book. Now here we go with playing miltary generals! We should be ashamed, grossly ashamed of our "tendencies" based upon our emotions. Let us not go on a witch hunt guys and gals, sheez! Will anybody talk about music, life still goes on you know. G. Ah and life must go on! just as if none of this were to have happen(not to say that its easy) but if we do not go about our normal lives, then we are doing exactly what "they" want us to do. Think about the future at this point...economy. This could most deffinitly fuck the US up. and all you fucks that say this was bound to hapen, i say piss off. I have sat around reading these childish banters on the list all day, and did not want to involve myself...but I coulndt hold in Mr. Angry any longer. and all i want to say is Fuck off, no I won't give my opinion, no i won't say why you should fuck off, I just say Fuck off. why doesnt my outlook spellchecker work? it doesnt let me check...any clues? (thats right, i cant spell) sprek:keith www.soundmangle.com/Sprek http://spit.to/onesick ----- Original Message ----- From: "Graham Wallis" <wallisgraham@hotmail.com> To: <latah_skatah@yahoo.com>; <idm@hyperreal.org> Sent: Wednesday, September 12, 2001 10:07 AM Subject: Re: [idm] I think the US are to blame!

Respectfully, no, the bastard terrorists are to blame, sir. And I might also point out, as your tact advisor, that now is not the time to be criticizing people here in the States.
