Hey, Does anyone know of a good midi controller for PC that basically allows you to play the keypad and send midi note info. That's all I'm looking for. I don't want to use cakewalk or cubase or anything. I want this program to be tiny and not take up mutch space. Any ideas? Thanks, Chad _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Most of the major synth companies sell simple MIDI controllers but they don't like to advertise them as they don't cost as much as the big workstation things. You'll need a catalogue like Sweetwater's or Musician's friend. Or you can go to either of their respective websites and do a search for MIDI controller. I can't recommend any specific ones because they basically do the same things. It's nice to get one with CC knobs tho. -------------------- -l[e^2] *new { ^this.shouldNotImplement(thisMethod) } --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

I use a USB-Based RolandED UM-2, and it's quite nice. 2 in's and 2 out's in a very small, light package. If you want something _really_ minimal, the UM-1 is perfect. The damn thing is just a _cable_. It looks like a USB-to-MIDI converter. $55.00 @ www.audiomidi.com. --- -- - Nintari Man On Sat, 3 Mar 2001, Twine sound wrote:
