Relatively unknown fella from North Carolina. Played the hell out of his previous album, "The Golden Age of Space Travel". His sound palette is really unique: Lo-fi acoustic, retro-futuristic bleeps and bloops. Reminds me a lot of the artificial intelligence series in certain spots. Would love to see him get some more traffic. Here's the email I got about an hour ago. I particularly like the tracks "Machine in the Ghost" and "Happy Accident". ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I've recently completed a new album which I think is pretty great. https://kleptonaut.bandcamp.com/album/on-the-up-and-up Ideally I like the help of something resembling a record label to help convince people that this album is worth a listen. If you know of a record label, radio station, media outlet, music critic, film/TV/commercial maker, or internet celebrity who might earnestly help me in getting this music out into the world, please contact me. Otherwise, enjoy it. Share it with those you know. Let me know if you dig it. As always, thanks for listening, Jeff Shields, Kleptonaut You are receiving this email because this was the email address provided when downloading music from Kleptonaut. This the 1st time I've emailed Bandcamp downloaders, and it will probably be a long time before I email this group again.

btw i also found this to be a very nice/solid album its almost a little bit too professional/commercial sounding for my taste but its still clearly rooted in homemade electronics and strong melodies, and a dash of idm style tho it seems like his goal was to cover a lot of ground and make a full 'album' out of it nothing amazingly groundbreaking but very solid production and arrangement and just a really hard not to like album feels a little 90s-ish to me in a good way Clint Anderson Systems Engineer "Freedom -- paint me a picture!" -- Burton Cummings On Sun, Dec 6, 2015 at 4:16 PM, Connor Higgins <connor1higgins@gmail.com> wrote:

I made /On the Up and Up, /and I could talk on and on about it. To say I am "relatively unknown" is a generous understatement. I am a working stiff who makes music in his free time, and this recent "album" is completely DIY. A good chunk of the album was made during a 1 week vacation. Thank you Connor for sharing my music and also passing on my request assistance in releasing the album. I'm not sure if it's relevant, but I agree and and am very happy with Clint's review. -- View this message in context: http://idm.996307.n3.nabble.com/Kleptonaut-On-The-Up-and-Up-tp19244p19289.html Sent from the IDM mailing list archive at Nabble.com.
