_Addict_ is a very worthwhile purchase. Most of the tracks seem
straightforward, but there is just that perfect amount of tinkering to
put them over the "run of the mill" category into the "this guy might be
on to something" area. I quite enjoy the disc. Even better, though, is
Accelera Deck's _Halo_ ep for Morr Music (no, not City Centre Offices -
sometimes it would help my writing some if I actually check my 12" before
I write and not just "think"). It combines the usual Morr poppishness
with some staticy, glitchy rumble. The remixes aren't quite as good as
A.D.'s original tracks, which win you over with a beautiful combination
of melody and aggression.
However, both of these pale next to his _Echo Economy_ cdr (oop on
Pitchcadet and Toast & Jam, I'm afraid) which is all glitch and fuzz.
Everything else has been annihilated from your conscious hearing (or
something dramatic to that effect) and the result is a consistently
challenging and rewarding listen each and every time. He also has stuff
out on Forward that I haven't got around to listening to yet as well as
lots of comps. I'm still waiting for a copy of _Conviction & Crack_. If
his track record is any indicator, the delay is my loss.
I'm sure there is much more forthcoming -
