mainly because he does a lot of things that warrant publicity. touring with peers very often, releasing a lot of somewhat limited records, working with well-known people for releases and compilations (i'm sure his relations with hrvatski and lex are quite convenient, knowing how highly praised both of these artists have been in the past), talking to big companies and press-related people, willing to do interviews and other similar things. it really doesn't have much to do with the quality of his music; he's setting out to get his name known by peepz, instead of catering to a niche market and remaining more obscure. when his friend Lex...who he works with often (Don't sweat the

well, lex is not as prolific, he doesn't tour with the vivacity of kid606, and i suppose how "good" someone is could be an issue, although i see it more that kid606's music could *possibly* be more mainstream, while lex's music caters much more to a "standard idm" sound. just remember that not all publicity is good publicity, and not all discussion is positive discussion =) cheers, -derek --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
